Eveliina Salonen stole the spotlight at the 2024 Copenhagen Open, showcasing her remarkable skills and tenacity in a thrilling 2-hole playoff against Kaidi Allsalu. Salonen’s clutch performance, including a stunning Circle 2 step-putt for eagle on Hole 18, secured her victory, marking her third win of the season. Meanwhile, in the MPO division, Jesse Nieminen claimed his first DGPT win, while young talents Roland Kõur and Eetu Tuominen impressed with top-5 finishes. The 2024 OTB Open presented by MVP Disc Sports is shaping up to be an exciting event, with several compelling storylines and statistics to follow, particularly in the FPO division:

  1. Missy Gannon’s Unyielding Momentum: Fresh off her triumphant victory at the Dynamic Discs Open, Missy Gannon charges into the OTB Open with an unwavering surge of confidence. With two Major/Elite Series wins already in 2024, she’s on par with her career-best season and is poised to extend her winning streak. 
  2. Ohn Scoggins’ Consistency: Ohn Scoggins boasts an impressive 11-event top 10 streak at the Majors/Elite Series, making her a formidable contender. Her streak is the second-longest active after Kristin Tattar.
  3. Paige Pierce’s Unrelenting Reign in Stockton: Pierce, the reigning three-time OTB Champion, stands undefeated in Stockton, having triumphed in all three previous events held there. However, her victory drought since the 2023 OTB makes this event a pivotal moment for her to reclaim her dominance in Stockton. 
  4. Kristin Tattar’s Rating Milestone: While not participating in the 2024 OTB Open, Kristin Tattar became the first FPO player to achieve a rating of 1000, marking a significant milestone in her career.
