Beyond the above listed methods of qualification for a full Tour Card, which gives access to pre-registration for the whole DGPT season, the Tour will also award a smaller number of Partial Tour Cards, which provides access to a smaller set of tournaments each year and is intended for up and coming players and those who will compete regionally or on specific legs of the Tour. The DGPT will award Partial Tour Cards to a limited number of players who apply for a Tour Card exemption, and via the National Amateur Disc Golf Tour (NADGT), as follows.

Finally, the DGPT will continue to offer a separate European Tour Card (now called the EuroTour Card) for the 2027 season, designed to make it easier for top European athletes to register for local and regional tournaments each year. Players will qualify for a 2027 European Tour Card via the 2026 EuroTour Standings as follows.

Displacement rules are in effect, meaning that if a European player has already qualified for a full DGPT Tour Card, their European Tour Card spot will be passed down to the next player in the EuroTour standings. European athletes who qualified for a Full Tour Card may also elect to take a European Tour Card instead if they anticipate being unable to travel to the U.S. for a full Tour in 2027.
Exemption Applications
The DGPT will continue to offer a limited number of Tour Card exemptions. Players seeking a 2027 exemption will be invited to submit an exemption application. Tour Cards will be awarded based on a provided narrative, points standings, PDGA player rating, and other considerations related to injury, international travel, and ability to participate throughout the year. Exemption applications for the 2027 season will open after the conclusion of the 2026 season.
Other Ways to Play on Tour in 2027
While the Tour Card will continue to be the main method of event qualification and registration in 2027, the Tour also remains committed to providing additional pathways to compete on the Tour. As is the case this year and in previous seasons, the DGPT will offer a limited number of spots at each tournament to players who qualify via a sponsor exemption or at a week of or a regional qualifying event. Ratings-based registration will also available, but may open directly to the waitlist depending on Tour Card registration numbers.
