TOUR DIRECTOR

Jeff is an experienced tournament director at the highest level and course designer, having developed one of the preeminent disc golf destinations in the world at Smugglers’ Notch Resort in Vermont. Jeff started with the Tour in 2016 as the TD of the Green Mountain Championship and PDGA liason for the tour. Jeff is proud to serve as CEO and Tour Director and is looking forward to the rest of the 2019 season and beyond.

Jeff found disc golf in 2008 and quickly grew his love for the sport into a board position with the Vermont state disc golf club. As he developed the disc golf operation at Smugglers’ Notch he has gone on to host two PDGA majors at Smugglers’ in the last year. He has also developed one of the premier events on tour the annual Green Mountain Championship DGPT event which is in its sixth year.

Sean has worked for the Pro Tour since its start in 2016 on tour partnerships. He strived to land the proverbial big fish of advertisers outside of the disc golf industry. As of April 2020, the Tour signed a promotional deal with Bushnell to help market their performance scopes. He is thankful for all the organizations that have ever supported the DGPT.

While trail running at Borderland State Park in 2008, he heard the inimitable sound of the chains. The addiction took over immediately. After moving to the Bay Area and running several events for the San Francisco Disc Golf Club, he was thrilled to host the first DGPT event in CA. Known as the SFO, this was the first large-scale pro-only tournament in San Francisco.

Mahmoud Bahrani

MEDIA DIRECTOR

Mahmoud joined the DGPT in 2020 as the Tour’s Media Manager. Mahmoud will lead the continued development of the DGPT’s live broadcast as the Tour looks to improve and expand the production in collaboration with Smashboxx. Mahmoud also develops content for the Disc Golf Network and oversees other media areas such as podcasts, articles, and social media.

Mahmoud has a love and passion for disc golf that motivated him to dedicate 2019 to traveling across the country shooting, producing, and doing commentary for large disc golf events. During his work as a freelance media professional he gained experience working with Central Coast, JomezPro, The Disc Golf Guy (Terry Miller), as well as the Disc Golf Pro Tour and Smashboxx at the MVP Open and the Green Mountain Championship. In addition to video production, Mahmoud has contributed to UDisc and Ultiworld as a writer, and also produces “The Inside Line” podcast.

VP OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Baker joined the DGPT full-time in 2021 as the Marketing & Communications Manager after previous stints working in freelance roles for the Tour. He was promoted to Director of Marketing before moving into his current role as the Tour’s  VP of Business Administration. Baker helps craft the big-picture strategy for the Tour and leads day-to-day business administration activities.

Baker fell in love with disc golf from playing at a young age and has translated that enthusiasm into numerous disc golf endeavors. In 2016, he started the Southern Collegiate Disc Golf Association. The SCDGA was one of the first College Disc Golf conferences in the country and changed the landscape of collegiate disc golf competition. Within disc golf, Baker has worked for Prodiscus, including driving the Prodiscus RV in 2017 and has also had freelance roles with Ultiworld Disc Golf, the Disc Golf Pro Tour, and other disc golf organizations.

OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS DIRECTOR

Brian joined the DGPT in 2021 and serves as the Tour’s Operations & Logistics Director. After successful seasons in 2021 & 2022, Brian is excited to return to lead the operations department and oversee the development of competition and infrastructure. His experience in the hospitality industry and as a club president drives his goals in growing the spectator experience while maintaining the feeling of a small, tight knit community. Brian has been playing disc golf since 2006 and has experience with course design, tournament directing, and elite level competition. When not traveling to execute Disc Golf Pro Tour events, he resides in Portland, OR.

Phill joined the DGPT in 2022 as an Operations Manager. After a highly successful season Phill was promoted to Assistant Tour Director. Phill heads up all on-the-ground event operations for the DGPT at events across the world.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Zac joined the DGPT in 2021 and is the Tour’s Marketing Director. Zac leads all marketing efforts for the tour and strives to get the word out about DGPT events, broadcasts, and products.

Zac started playing Disc Golf in 2009 when his local city built a course near his house, with baskets in walking distance he quickly became a lifelong fan of the game. Professionally Zac has worked in Marketing and Digital Media in a variety of different verticals with a diversity of different businesses. He has overseen aspects of Marketing or Social Media for companies such as Discount Tire, the Fiesta Bowl, Centurion Boats, Supreme Boats, Primavera Online High School, and Aqua-Tots Swim Schools. His passion for the sport as well as the explosion of growth in the disc golf industry inspired him to blend his personal and professional loves by joining the Pro Tour team.

Seth Munsey

DIRECTOR OF HEALTH AND SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Seth has been a fitness and performance coach since 2007. He received a B.S. in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from California State University Fullerton, where he studied anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, and human performance. During college, he worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern Coach for the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks. Munsey also ran his own gym for four years, with a holistic concept focused on improving the strength, health and lives of its members.

Seth has held numerous fitness certifications and has taught for two fitness organizations as a Master Instructor and Lead Instructor, which included certifying fitness professionals as instructors in those training systems. He has served in the U.S. Coast Guard (‘99-’03) in San Francisco, completing search and rescue and law enforcement operations, has worked on an ambulance running 911 emergency calls, and was an on-call firefighter for the Orange County Fire Authority.

Seth turned his sights to disc golf after hearing fellow players complain of pain and injuries far too often while playing. He founded Disc Golf Strong in early 2016, which provides the information and tools disc golfers need to properly prepare their bodies for the rigors of the sport. With Disc Golf Strong, Seth has worked with all levels of disc golfers, from multi-time world champions to people who only recently started playing. Seth is also the chair of the PDGA Medical Committee.

MEDIA OPERATIONS MANAGER

Sam serves as the Media Operations Manager for the Disc Golf Pro Tour. He is the man behind the camera at Pro Tour stops. His experience as a cameraman reaches the highest levels of professional sports. He spent the past six years at NBC Sports Boston, where he covered a variety of Boston sports; everything from the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, to the Stanley Cup Finals with the Boston Bruins.

Sam started playing disc golf in 2013. Four years later he co-founded his own post-production media company, specializing in shot-by-shot coverage for some of the biggest tournaments in New England.

BRAND MANAGER & GRAPHIC DESIGNER

After finding disc golf with a college friend in 2014, Dustin noticed a significant need for better tee signage on some of his local courses, and saw an opportunity to make an impact at higher-level courses in New England through his graphic design skills. In 2015, he got connected with Steve Dodge by sending him tee sign mock-ups for Maple Hill, and the rest was history.

After Steve started the Disc Golf Pro Tour, Dustin worked with him on notable DGPT projects such as the yearly trading card decks, as well as developing and continuously improving tee signage on tour. Dustin’s efforts from the 2016 season until now have helped the fan experience through his promotional materials, spectator guides and programs.

After the DGPT changed ownership in 2020, Dustin oversaw the rebranding project, developing a new brand identity for both the Pro Tour and Disc Golf Network. After 5 seasons of part-time and freelance work, Dustin officially joined the Disc Golf Pro Tour as our full-time Graphic Designer and Brand Manager as of the 2021 season.

RETAIL MANAGER

Ty joined the DGPT in 2021 as the Retail Manager. He found the sport of disc golf in 2005.  It served as an outlet for the homesickness and anxiety he experienced while away at college.  He’s played ever since and has dedicated the past 3 years promoting the sport as a tool to overcome mental health diseases.  He’s done this by building the Wander Disc Golf brand as a platform creating exciting outdoor apparel and donating to mental health non-profit organizations.

After years of watching DGPT events, Ty turned to his local club to lead the charge in bringing the tour to his home city.  As a first time TD, Ty and his incredible staff stepped up and hosted to the 2021 Des Moines Challenge.  He’s excited to join the team and create the best retail experience possible for the amazing DGPT fan base.

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Charles joined the DGPT full time in 2022 and currently fills the Communications Manager position. He heads up both internal and external DGPT communication strategies and works to ensure that DGPT staff, players, and tour partners have the resources they need for successful growth.

As a former communication and fundraising consultant, Charles is focused on using his skillset to build the critical infrastructure needed for long-term success and is thrilled to commit his time and energy to the growth of the tour. A former ultimate player, Charles originally found the sport in 2013 and quickly fell in love with the challenge of learning to shape shots in the woods. After competing at the collegiate level, he served as the Commissioner of the Southern Collegiate Disc Golf Association (originally founded by DGPT staffer Baker Helton) for three seasons and oversaw the growth of one of the largest collegiate conferences in the country. Charles has continued his role as a local disc golf organizer and club executive in the central Arkansas area and finds immense joy and fulfillment in introducing new players to the sport and chasing that ever-elusive but effortless “flow state” that all golfers know and appreciate.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Courtney joined the DGPT in 2022 as a Social Media Coordinator. After a successful season she was promoted to Social Media Manager where she heads up all social media efforts for the Tour.

Courtney was first introduced to disc golf in 2017 after one of her friends from her ultimate frisbee team brought his bag to practice. She fell in love with the sport and started playing competitively within a year. After graduating from college she worked at a disc golf retail shop for 3 years and fell even more in love with all aspects of the sport – playing, promoting, running events, production, and the community.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Jamie began working as a contractor for the Disc Golf Pro Tour during its inaugural season in 2016. Fast forward to 2020, he was offered the role of hosting the Live Broadcast for the newly re-vamped Disc Golf Network streaming service. With the growing need for more content to satisfy the insatiable disc golf fanbase, Jamie was brought on full time in 2021 to strategically architect the content library for Disc Golf Network.

Jamie’s obsession-turned-career with disc golf began as an undergraduate student in Film Studies at North Carolina State in 2009, recovering from an ankle injury sustained while playing basketball. Shortly thereafter, he moved to San Francisco, CA where he continued to produce disc-golf related class projects while pursuing his Masters in Film Directing. In 2013 he was asked to produce videos for the newly-launched SpinTV YouTube channel, and in 2018 joined Ultiworld’s The Upshot podcast as a co-host before landing full-time with the Disc Golf Pro Tour.

OPERATIONS & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

Dan started playing disc golf in 2003, but got hooked after moving to Bailey, Colorado in 2016 and discovering the disc golf mecca that is the 285 corridor. As VP of the Foothill Flyers Disc Golf Club, Dan has run tournaments like the Bloom and the Harvest along with developing, maintaining and improving local courses and fostering a club environment focused on encouraging new players and giving back to the local community. An FFDGC sponsored junior, Gabe Anderson, won the PDGA Junior World title for under 10 boys in 2021 and the local high school now has a promising under 18 disc golf club of their own.

Dan joined the DGPT in 2021 as an Operations & Partnerships Coordinator where he worked on developing the spectator ticketing program while leading course setup and tear down, managing crowd control and bridging the gap between season long partnerships and on-site activation at tournaments. Dan returns to the tour in 2022 as an Operations & Partnerships Manager where he hopes to continue developing the spectator experience at tournaments and building out event sites to best showcase our growing list of partners while ensuring a great experience for all.

LIVE PRODUCTION MANAGER

“Tocci” joined the DGPT in 2022 as the Live Production Manager. He contributes to multiple aspects of the live broadcast, acting as the Associate Director and A1 for all Majors and Elite Series events, as well as Producer for some Silver Series events. Tocci is also the Producer for “The Scramble,” a cinematic highlight show that airs on the Disc Golf Network. A Director/Producer who has led production teams both domestically and abroad, Tocci brings over 13 years of professional video experience to the DGPT. Tocci discovered his love for the flying disc at an early age, throwing his first frisbee at the age of 3. As lifelong ultimate player, he didn’t discover his love of disc golf until high school, where he played his first round of disc golf at Borderland Disc Golf Course in Easton, MA. The rest is history and Tocci has been playing and producing disc golf content for a variety of outlets ever since.

MEDIA SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER

Cory has been a staple in the disc golf media scene for over six years now. Originally part of the CCDG team, he has since worked for the PDGA, the DGN live broadcast, and has his own YouTube channel, “Johnny Discgolf.” Now he is fully part of the DGPT team where he’ll be documenting the biggest moments and creating cinematic pieces throughout the season.

With a professional background in the Michigan film industry, Cam joined the tour in 2021 as a Media and Operations Coordinator working full time on the road. After a flourishing 2021 season, he has returned to the tour as the Media Operations Supervisor, assisting Sam Gaddes (Media Operations Manager) with assuring the live broadcast runs smoothly on the ground. Cam is extremely proud to work for the Disc Golf Pro Tour and excited to be a part of the growth of disc golf.

​Evan leads the DGPT operations crew as Operations Coordinator for the 2021 season. He works with the local organizing committees to prepare the course layouts for competition, including the dressing of the courses and placement of course assets. Prior to the Pro Tour Evan worked closely with Tour Director Jeff Spring as a course supervisor at the Smuggs Disc Golf Center and has extensive experience with course set up and design at high-level events.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Christine joined the DGPT part-time in early 2021 with ten years of background in customer service and administration. Her role is to help with the organization of the tour internally and also handling many day to day administrative tasks. Christine started playing disc golf in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the sport as she started to travel out of state the following year. In 2019, she competed in 31 PDGA events, eventually hitting one of her goals of achieving the 2019 PDGA Rookie of the Year award. She continues to travel on the tour as a professional today.

HEALTH & NUTRITION COORDINATOR

Christie joined the DGPT in 2022 while following a life path with roots in holistic wellness. When she studied nutrition at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, Christie grew further in an understanding that whole-being wellness can be achieved through kind actions towards oneself each day. As the DGPT’s Health & Nutrition Coordinator, she curates opportunities for the team to make healthy lifestyle choices, particularly while fortuned and tasked with living on the road. From the quaint small towns to the booming metropolises on the the tour’s map, Christie is pinpointing food options for the team that are not only healthy, but are also unique to the areas visited and able to support the local communities. Christie resides in Vermont when not on tour, and she thinks disc golf is the coolest sport.

Matt primarily works to capture both live and non-live content, including: all event broadcasts, player interviews, and other content. A Massachusetts native, Matt was introduced to Disc Golf in 2017 and considers Maple Hill and Borderland State Park his two favorite courses. Prior to the Pro Tour, Matt worked as a content producer with New England Sports Network (TV affiliate of the Boston Red Sox & Bruins), as well as other New England-based sports media entities.

RETAIL COORDINATOR

LaRissa joined DGPT road crew along with her husband (Trent) and 2 Saint Bernards (Remi & Skyrah) later in the 2021 season working in the retail tent for events. She will be setting up and running the retail tent at DGPT events, as well as assisting with event set up and tear down. LaRissa has a background in online retail and customer service management. She started casually playing disc golf in 2018 when her husband introduced her to the sport. LaRissa looks forward to meeting spectators and players alike, growing her career within the company as well as improving her game to compete in smaller tournaments during the off season. Tom joined the Disc Golf Pro Tour after over 10 years as a TV news Photojournalist working for 3 different local affiliates in Des Moines, IA and Austin, TX. Born and raised just outside Chicago Tom didn’t discover disc golf until 2007 during his first year of college at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Although he was primarily an Ultimate frisbee player and organizer he found his was back to Disc Golf in 2019 and he is excited to combine his passion for the sport with his knowledge and experience in video production to keep providing the best on air product for all the Disc Golf fans.

Dan started working for the Disc Golf Pro Tour as a camera operator in 2020. With 10+ years of experience in Video Production, primarily in editing, Dan’s main role as Production Assistant is to provide necessary assets for live productions and content to be uploaded on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Dan started playing Disc Golf in 2015 and fell in love with both competing and building strong relationships on and off the course. Prior to working with the Pro Tour, Dan worked for various sports and public access tv channels in pursuit of landing his dream job with the DGPT.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Bill started playing disc golf in 2002, but didn’t really catch the bug until 2014, when he suffered a family loss and needed an escape. As the vice president of his local club, he has been working hard on all aspects of the sport in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas. He became involved with the Pro tour when he joined the Idlewild Open planning committee in 2017. After five years volunteering at DGPT events across the Midwest, he joins the DGPT team in 2022 as operations coordinator. He is responsible for setting up the courses for elite level competition in advance of each tournament and working hand-in-hand with local volunteers to make sure everything is up to tour standards. He says that his enthusiasm for the sport and love of the communities at each event drive his passion to help make the DGPT truly special for both competitors and fans.

Jeffrey joined DGPT in February 2022 with a background in video production and editing. Prior to working for the Pro Tour he worked in Outside Operations for the PGA. A fellow golfer introduced him to Disc Golf in 2019 and has been hooked ever since. Jeffrey uses Disc Golf as a fun way to spend time with his family, to exercise, and to get outdoors.
