DGPT Releases 2024 World Standings Points Structure

January 10, 2024: The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is pleased to announce the finalized points structure for the 2024 World Standings, which will award points towards the 2024 DGPT Championship. Alongside the recently announced European Point Series, competitors can now plan their 2024 Tour schedules with complete points information.

Two Points Standings for 2024

As previously announced, the DGPT will maintain two points standings this season:

  • A DGPT World Standings that awards spots in the 2024 DGPT Championship and;
  • A stand-alone DGPT Europe points standings that will not award points towards the DGPT Championship but will award 2025 Tour Cards and bonus payout to top finishers.

The recently announced European Silver Events will only earn points towards the stand-alone DGPT Europe points standings and will not count towards the World Standings. However, all DGPT Elite-Series-sanctioned events in Europe will be points-eligible events for both the World Standings and the stand-alone DGPT Europe points standings.

PDGA Pro Majors & DGPT Points

While there are four PDGA Pro Majors on the 2024 schedule for both MPO and FPO, any event taking place after the final DGPT playoff event (MVP Open) will not award DGPT points. Thus, in 2024, the USDGC will not award DGPT points.
