BIDDING AS A TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER

Start here if you represent an event team with a history of running large PDGA-sanctioned events

APPLY FOR A SPOT ON TOUR

Taking the next step from a successful PDGA-sanctioned event to the Disc Golf Pro Tour is an opportunity to elevate your tournament to the highest level of the sport. A DGPT stop brings the strongest fields in the world, expanded media coverage, and increased expectations across every aspect of event delivery—from course design and operations to spectator experience and sponsorship activation. It’s a chance to build on what you’ve already created and position your event as a premier destination on the global professional circuit.

The DGPT partners closely with experienced tournament teams to scale events to Tour standards, providing support across media production, technology, marketing, and event operations. With live broadcasts reaching a worldwide audience and a proven ability to drive attendance, sponsorship value, and visibility, joining the Tour amplifies your event’s impact while maintaining the local identity and community support that made it successful in the first place.

To move forward with a bid, you should have all of the following in place:

✅ At least one Championship level disc golf course with a history of PDGA-sanctioned competition (two if you’re bidding on a DGPT+ event)

✅ The capacity to deliver between $35,000 – $80,000 in added cash to the pro purse

✅ The infrastructure to host upwards of 3,000 spectators on-site & recruit up to 150 volunteers

✅ The ability to host a variety of vendors at the event, including retailers, food trucks, and other pop-up sellers

✅ Strong cellular signal across all major cell networks at your venue (to support live broadcasting on the Disc Golf Network)

VENUE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Start here if you just want to talk with us about an exciting course or potential venue

TELL US ABOUT YOUR VENUE

Not every DGPT event starts with a fully built tournament. Many begin with a great piece of land and a vision for what it could become. If you represent a property, park system, or development group with the potential to host championship-level disc golf, the DGPT welcomes early conversations around future venue opportunities. Identifying and shaping the right locations is a critical part of the Tour’s long-term growth, and we’re always looking for sites that can support world-class competition and spectator experiences.

Through our venue development approach, the DGPT can help evaluate property potential, provide guidance on course design and infrastructure, and outline the key elements needed to meet Tour standards. We can assist you with evaluating everything from layout length and terrain to parking, spectator flow, and connectivity. You don’t have to be an event organizer to start the process. Players, fans, and local advocates who know of exceptional properties are encouraged to share their leads as well. While not every submission will immediately translate into a Tour stop, strong venues can become part of the DGPT pipeline as they evolve. If you have a property with promise, this is the place to start the conversation.
