Perfect Setting in Norway

How to Watch the PDGA EuroTour #3 – Krokhol Open

Thursday, June 22, 2023 – 09:07

Idyllic? Amazing? A paradise for disc golf? These are some of the first sentences that came to mind when we arrived at the Krokhol Disc Golf Club on the outskirts of Oslo, Norway.

An undulating landscape with coniferous and birch forests dotted with small lakes and large granite slabs is home to the Krokhol Golf and Disc Golf Clubs that coexist in perfect harmony and benefit from mutual synergies.

In the clubhouse, we find all the advantages for the player such as parking, restaurants and an assorted pro shop. The course is in excellent condition despite having received less rain than usual in recent months and with the addition of course assets, a loaded field and live coverage on the Disc Golf Network, that will give this stupendous course the appearance of great occasions for the third stop of the PDGA EuroTour, the Krokhol Open.

Eleven countries will be represented in MPO and seven in FPO in the 144-player field.

In FPO, Rachel Turton of the United Kingdom will look for back-to-back wins on the EuroTour after she took down the Konopiště Open this past weekend. Norway’s Anniken Kristiansen Steen joins the FPO field, as does Lykke Lorentzen and Silva Saarinen. Sofie Björlycke is back after a second-place finish a week ago.

MPO will see new faces as well in Øyvind Jarnes, of Norway, and Bradley Williams and Nate Perkins joining Paul McBeth and Scott Stokeley for representation from the United States. Jakub Semerád finished third as week ago in Konopiště and is the third-highest rated player in the field.

A picture perfect setting plays host this weekend as the EuroTour picks up steam.
