Introducing the All New DGPT Creators Challenge!
Get ready for a clash of elite skill and creative flair as the Disc Golf Pro Tour debuts the Creator’s Challenge— an all-new event pairing the sport’s top pros with your favorite disc golf creators for a one-of-a-kind showdown. Mark your calendars: this exciting competition kicks off Thursday, June 26, at 1:00 PM CT, live from the scenic Pickard Park in Indianola, Iowa.
This broadcast was initially scheduled for 6:00 PM CT but was moved earlier in the day due to potential weather on the ground on Thursday evening.
What is the Creator’s Challenge?
The Creator’s Challenge brings together eight DGPT professionals and eight disc golf content creators in an alternate-shot doubles format with a few creative twists. Each team pairs a pro with a creator, combining high-level competition with the personalities shaping disc golf media.

The Format: Doubles, With a Twist
The Creator’s Challenge features an alternate-shot doubles format, with each pro teamed up with a creator for a 12-hole round using a modified course layout (Holes 1–9 and 16–18).
To kick things off, creators will tee off on Hole 1, then the pros tee off on Hole 2. From there, teams alternate holes throughout the round, keeping things fresh and unpredictable.
Signature Hole Twists
We’re taking this event beyond birdies and bogeys! Throughout the round, three featured holes will add a dose of unpredictability and entertainment:
Ace Run Challenge – Hole 5
- Three attempts per team to chase the chains
- Each player must throw at least once
- Play resumes from the closest throw
Spin-to-Throw – Hole 6
- Before each shot, teams must spin a wheel to determine the throw type.
- Options include forehand, roller, tomahawk, and even off-hand (lefty).
- It’s chaos in the best way—and a crowd favorite in the making.
Fan Substitution – Hole 16
- The creator selects a fan from the crowd to take the tee shot for the pro.
- The fan plays out the entire hole, adding a memorable and interactive twist
