Less than one week after claiming the top spot in the Power Rankings, Eagle McMahon aggravates a shoulder injury and withdraws from the Ledgestone. Paul McBeth takes full advantage and reclaims the top spot with his fourth (3 PT, 1 NT) Elite Series victory of the year. Andrew Marwede, Matt Bell, and Reid Frescura make big jumps with great finishes.

Eagle McMahon is ranked number one in the world, by .09%. His performance on the NW swing (2nd at Portland, 1st at BSF) was enough to basically maintain his wins for the past two weeks (268, 260, 262). Meanwhile, Paul McBeth's events did not garner as much top caliber competition and his number of wins (even while winning smaller events) fell from 241 to 203 in the same time frame. Note: as older events age, their wins have less weight causing the lessening of wins over time. Congratulations to Eagle on a job well done, 41 weeks ago he was number one. Today he is number one again.

Eagle McMahon's win at the Beaver State Fling closes the gap between he and McBeth to 1.25 (from 3.5 the week prior). With another strong finish at Ledgestone, we may have a new #1 ranked player, for the first time in over 40 weeks. AJ Risley and Jordan Castro finish in a tie for 5th and move up over 10 spots in the rankings.

Drew Gibson outlasted Eagle McMahon and Simon Lizotte to win at Portland, catapulting himself up 11 spots in this week's rankings. Paul McBeth stayed on the East Coast handily winning Two Days in May.

Garrett Gurthie cards the win at the Santa Cruz Masters Cup and jumps five spots to 13th, his highest rankings since August of 2018. Ricky Wysocki moves up to second, less than 4 points behind Paul McBeth.
