Tour Championship Standings Update

Players receive points for their best eight finishes at the nine tour stops. As we are halfway through the season, it is time to implement dropping each player’s worst event and not counting it towards Tour Points. From today on, when reviewing the standings, you will now see a gray box for each player. This indicates which event is not included in their points total.

Tour Points are critical. Now that the season is half way completed, this change will make it easier to compare exactly where players stand in the race for Tour Points. For example, with the points from the dropped event included, Ricky seemed to have a 102 point lead over Simon Lizotte. However, after removing their lowest points, the lead shrinks to 30 points. This is much more reflective of where they actually stand. After Discraft’s Green Mountain Championship, invites will be issued to the Top 50 men and the Top 15 women. Get ready Jacksonville, the Tour Championship is coming to town!
