This weekend, the Disc Golf Pro Tour heads west to California for the 4th Silver Series event of the season, the Challenge at Goat Hill Park, presented by Innova. The sprawling nearly 1,200-ft Goat Hill Disc Golf Course is known for its ocean views, fresh breeze, authentic atmosphere, and raw golf feel.
With a much larger field than last year’s tournament, we’ll see 113 MPO and 29 FPO competitors out on Goat Hill Park starting Friday, May 7th for this 3-round tournament, including five of the top ten from the MPO Pro Tour leaderboard and four of the top ten from the FPO division.

Ricky Wysocki has trophies from both Belton and Jonesboro this season, and a second-place finish at the Dynamic Discs Open. Can he take down another tournament at Goat Hill?
With such a long course for the MPO division, it’s no wonder why big throwers like Garret Gurthie, Drew Gibson, and Ezra Aderhold will be looking to capitalize on the open greens at the Silver Series event. However, they’ll have to go up against season stalwarts in Ricky Wysocki, hot off a second-place finish at the Dynamic Discs Open last weekend and two DGPT wins this year, and Nikko Locastro, who also has a DGPT win this season.

Anthony Barela, who won last year’s Goat Hill with a 1-stroke lead over Thomas Gilbert, will likely be aiming to top the leaderboard again this year, after middling success this season.
But don’t count out competitors like Paul Ulibarri, Colten Montgomery, Emerson Keith, Thomas Gilbert or Anthony Barela. Barela and Gilbert took first and second-place finishes at last year’s Goat Hill with a sizable lead over the rest of the pack, while these other golfers have been in the hunt all season. With what looks to be calmer winds and open fairways, it’s anyone’s weekend in California.
MPO Round 1 Lead Card:
Ricky Wysocki | Anthony Barela | Garret Gurthie| Clint Calvin
In the FPO division, will we see a repeat win from Ohn Scoggins, or a comeback year for Jennifer Allen, who won 2019’s Challenge at Goat Hill? Scoggins started the season hot with a 4th place finish at Las Vegas Challenge and 2nd at Waco, but has cooled down a little in her last two tournaments.

Ohn Scoggins comes in as the defending champion of the Challenge at Goat Hill. Can she defend her title in 2021?
Perhaps we’ll see a win from Lisa Fajkus, Holly Finley, Kona Star Panis, or Rebecca Cox, who have all been competing at most of the tournaments this season and are most likely itching for a win in California. Weese, Fajkus, Cox and Panis have a handful of top finishes each, and even a win that Panis took at Waco.

Kona Star Panis is just one of the strong FPO competitors who has a handful of top finishes this year. With a win already this season at Waco, can she double up this weekend?
Two newcomers to the FPO division, both Ella Hansen and Leah Tsinajinnie are here to prove that their ultimate frisbee skills can translate to a top finish this weekend.
FPO Round 1 Lead Card:
Jennifer Allen | Ohn Scoggins | Juliana Korver | Holyn Handley
