The Disc Golf Pro Tour is proud to announce the name of its 2018 regular season finale. The event, which will be held August 24-26 in Leicester, MA, will be the MVP Open at Maple Hill.
In regards to the new partnership, Steve Holloway of MVP Discs said, “We are thrilled to be working with the Disc Golf Pro Tour, and having the privilege of being part of such a great event. As always we will be sure to have a lot of fun creating some awesome items for the Am’s side players packs.”
On behalf of the event, we are very proud to announce this new and exciting partnership and continue to push our event and the sport forward. As part of the partnership, MVP will be creating something really special as well as ensuring that the players packs at the Am side, held the week before, are stellar.
In 2003, I moved to Maple Hill to build one of our sport’s premier venues and events.
Our Leicester based event quickly became known as one of the players’ favorite events on tour. In 2018, with the support of MVP Discs, we are going back to our roots, complete with complimentary haircuts (and no, you don’t get to choose how your hair is cut).
This year we will be having the five spots tournament, players meeting, driving contest, putting contest, poker, and ping pong nights all at Maple Hill. We will be crowning a brand new Tournament MVP, which will be the player who does the best across all of the events held at the MVP Open.
We know the event is still eight months away, but we can’t help but get excited and look forward to the exciting new things that will be happening at Maple Hill that glorious weekend.
The Pro Tour kicks off February 28th at the Memorial Championship presented by Discraft held in Scottsdale, AZ. The 9th event of the 2018 season will be the MVP open at Maple Hill. The top 32 men and the top 9 women will be invited to the Tour Championship, which will be held October 18-21.
