Position Title: Media & Operations Coordinator
The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is seeking media professionals to fill the roles of Media & Operations Coordinators. Coordinators will film both live and non-live content, including player interviews and production inserts for DGPT media production and social media use. They will also transport and set up course assets at Disc Golf Pro Tour events. Applicants should not only have media experience but the desire to be on the road and fully immersed in the coordination and set up of Pro Tour on course assets throughout the 2021 season.
The DGPT is an organization dedicated to the promotion and growth of professional disc golf through the administration of our Tour, a series of elite disc golf tournaments across North America. We focus on teamwork, innovation, and collaboration to achieve our goals and look forward to hiring a media professional that shares our passion for the sport of disc golf to help grow our organization and the game.
Responsible to: Road Manager, Media Manager, Media Director
Position Responsibilities
- Collaboration on and execution of 2021 Media Plan
- Filming live and post-production coverage as needed
- Editing of post-production footage as needed
- Social Media contributions as needed
- Travel & Production responsibilities at each event
- Transportation of DGPT Trucks & Trailers
- Management of DGPT on-course assets
Required Qualifications
- Experience in filming, editing, and video content creation.
- Experience in production set up and execution.
- Experience traveling and a desire to be on the road.
- Disc golf experience & an understanding of elite event standards.
- A high degree of professionalism in working with clients, coworkers, players, volunteers, event teams, and service providers.
- Result-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Positive demeanor & outlook when working with teammates and clients.
- Effective communication skills in person and through text & email.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, or a related degree.
- Knowledge of Adobe Software suite (particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop)
- FAA Licensed Drone Pilot
- Experience handling a broadcast camera and live streaming equipment
- Three or more years of experience in a media-related position
- Experience transporting vehicles and equipment long distances.
- Experience working on tours of over 3 months in length.
Other Requirements
- Assistance of transportation of DGPT Truck & Trailer from event to event
- Attendance at weekly events.
- This position is on the road from late February through mid-October.
- Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
- Willingness to be a team player and complete other tasks as necessary.
Compensation
- A full-time, salaried position:
- Starting in late January/early February and ending in October.
