Mach X Pro Approved for DGPT Competition, Set to Debut at 2026 Barbasol Open at Austin

The Mach X Pro will debut at next week’s Open at Austin

The Disc Golf Pro Tour has approved the new Mach X Pro basket from DGA Disc Golf for use in DGPT competition. The Mach X Pro will debut in Elite Series competition at next week’s DGPT+ Barbasol Open at Austin, and will also be used at future stops on Tour. The Mach X Pro will be featured at Harvey Penick, with DGA coming on as the official basket partner for the course.

The Mach X Pro is an evolution of the previously approved Mach X design, introducing a top band in place of the exposed nubs found on the top chain assembly components of earlier models.

The improvements to the Mach X design were made in consultation with the Disc Golf Pro Tour and represent iterative improvements on a currently approved basket, aligning with ongoing feedback from DGPT Tour Card players, who have been a key part of the Tour’s ongoing equipment evaluation process.

Official competition on the Mach X Pro will begin next week in Austin, TX. Tickets for the Barbasol Open at Austin are available at tickets.dgpt.com.
