If you have been waiting for the right time to invite your family, friends, neighbors or new acquaintances on a plane to come and see what disc golf is all about, your wait is over!
Each of the Pro Tour stops, combined with the Festival of the Flying Discs, will make the perfect venues to bring the whole crew. At our first event, the Vibram Open, spectators will start their day watching players being challenged with the toughest first shot in disc golf, Maple Hill Golds’ hole 1, affectionately known as Pond Jumper. A short walk down a country lane places spectators at the pin of hole 2, a 350′ shot with an OB stone wall lining the entire right fairway. This same spot is also perfect for watching tee shots off hole 3, which has seen some amazing shots as well (watch the video!)
After watching an amazing to start on one of the most scenic courses in disc golf, spectators can meander the course and follow the action or they can go visit the Festival of the Flying Discs. Families, discers, and strangers will have fun competing in the disc games (Disc Tac Toe, Got Speed?, Build & Destroy, DiscChinko and more). Additionally, jumping in the bouncy house, sticking to the velcro wall, and being a family in the activity tent (games, tie dyes, face painting) will inspire and rejuvenate.
So, whether you are here to watch the best disc golfers in the world, enjoy the scenic sites of a top 10 course in the world, or partake in some good, clean family fun, it is time to get your friends and family to come watch all that disc golf has to offer.
Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your neighbors. Let’s blow the roof off!
Come play. Come watch. At the Festival of the Flying Discs.
