The Disc Golf Pro Tour is pleased to announce its 2027 EuroTour schedule, which will feature several key changes and new collaborative partnerships designed to build a cohesive European competition calendar for players and fans alike. Here’s what to look forward to in 2027:
- The European Disc Golf Championships join the EuroTour. The 2027 EDGC in Tampere, Finland, will award EuroTour points, connecting Europe’s biennial continental championship with the season-long European competition.
- National Championships now eligible for points. National Championships across Europe will be eligible for EuroTour sanctioning and points, recognizing the importance of these events as a point of pride and celebration for individual countries and their disc golf communities.
- A refined A-tier schedule, alongside the biggest DGPT events in Europe. The EuroTour will feature a focused set of three additional A-Tier events throughout the season, while the European Open and two DGPT Elite Series events will bring the full international touring field together for three weeks of back-to-back premier competition. The European Disc Golf Festival will serve as the first European Elite Series event next season, with the second Elite Series stop to be announced soon.
Together, these changes create a more connected European competition calendar, giving players meaningful opportunities to compete for EuroTour points across the season while incorporating the events that are most important to the European disc golf community.

European Championships Join the EuroTour
One of the key additions to the 2027 EuroTour competition structure is the 2027 European Disc Golf Championships (EDGC), taking place at the Tampere Disc Golf Center in Tampere, Finland. The event will count toward the DGPT EuroTour points standings and brings up to 170 elite players from more than 25 countries together to compete for the European Championship title.
Tampere previously hosted the 2025 Disc Golf World Championships, delivering record-breaking spectator interest and international attention for disc golf in Finland and across Europe. The 2027 event will be led by Event Director Jussi Meresmaa, who also directed the 2025 World Championships.
Held biennially, the European Disc Golf Championships are sanctioned by the European Disc Golf Federation and represent the pinnacle of competitive disc golf in Europe. By awarding EuroTour points at the 2027 championship, the DGPT is further connecting the continent’s premier championship competition with the broader season-long EuroTour standings and pathway to European Tour Cards.
National Championships Now Eligible for Points
National Championships are an important part of the competitive and cultural fabric of European disc golf. Organized through individual countries’ National Associations, these events bring together the top players from respective countries to compete exclusively for their national championship title. These events are more than tournaments – they are points of pride and celebration for individual disc golf communities across Europe.
New for the 2027 season, any National Championships held on the weekend of July 29 – August 1 will be eligible for EuroTour sanctioning as a points event, in recognition of their significance within the broader European competitive landscape.
National and Regional Championships that wish to award EuroTour points in 2027 can apply for EuroTour sanctioning. To be eligible, an event must:
- Be hosted during week 30, which is July 26 – August 1, 2027
- Be sanctioned as a PDGA A-Tier or higher. PDGA granted waivers are acceptable (XA-tiers)
- Be an official National or Regional Championship, organized under the relevant National Association(s). Regional championships covering multiple countries, for example a Central European Championship or a Baltic Championship, are also eligible.
- Be a true National Championship, meaning that participation is restricted by citizenship or place of residence.
Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2026. If an organizer needs more time, they can request an extension before that deadline. Extension requests should include the intended event dates, venue, and sanctioning plans so the EuroTour team can account for the event when finalizing the 2027 calendar.
Approved events will award EuroTour points at the category 3 level, meaning that national and regional champions will be competing for their titles and for position in the EuroTour standings at the same time.
Interested event organizers can submit an application via this form. If you have questions, please contact EuroTour Operations Manager Mikko Wikman at mikko@dgpt.com
EuroTour Finale To Take Place in September
At the end of the summer, the EuroTour season will conclude with a final points-earning event in Pärnu, Estonia. This tournament, which will award points at the same level as the two full-scale DGPT Elite Series events on next year’s schedule, will be the final chance for players to move their way up the standings and earn a Tour Card for the 2028 season.
2028 Tour Card Qualifying
Based on the final 2027 EuroTour standings, the Disc Golf Pro Tour will award Tour Cards as follows:
| Tour Card Level | FPO Awards | MPO Awards |
| 2028 Full Tour Card | Top 3 | Top 6 |
| 2028 EuroTour Card | Top 12 | Top 24 |
Full Tour Card → Grants players access to all DGPT events in the U.S. and Europe for the next year, plus additional benefits included in the Tour Card program, and representation via the DGPT Player Council.
EuroTour Card → Grants players access to all DGPT and EuroTour events in Europe for the next year, plus the option to register for up to three (3) additional U.S. Elite Series events, and additional benefits included in the European Tour Card program.
Displacement rules are in effect, meaning that if a European player has already qualified for a full DGPT Tour Card, their European Tour Card spot will be passed down to the next player in the EuroTour standings. European athletes who qualified for a Full Tour Card may also elect to take a European Tour Card instead if they anticipate less travel to the U.S. in 2028.
All players, regardless of their home country, are still eligible to earn a full tour card via the normal qualification method via the DGPT Powerball World Standings. In the scenario that a European player qualifies for a full Tour Card via this method, the same displacement rules as described above will apply.
