During the off-season, we will finalize the Pro Tour Disciplinary Process and what appropriate punishment should be taken per Class A and Class B infraction. Bradley’s suspension may be increased based on these conversations.

Infraction Classes:
Class A, Fines: Behavioral amongst oneself
Class B, Suspensions & Fines: Cheating, Endangering, Behavior affecting players

Disciplinary Panel:
One DGPT representative (Steve Dodge)
One player representative (Nate Doss)
One TD representative (Jeff Spring)

Great to hear that he will not be able to play. The fact that people tip-toe around this guy and his anger issues are a joke. I agree that the discipline process should be revamped and made public for all players. To challenge our governing body as golfers and blow it up on social media is so weak. Our sport is a great one and requires much self discipline to succeed at. The best golfers have their act together on and off the course. If the DGPT is only a “umbrella” then why feel so entitled to be apart of the decision?! Hopefully this is a lesson to the sports governing body in the sense that they need to be more specific and conscious of the touring pros and the fact that this is their livelihood. And if you’re lucky enough to play for a living without any other income then you should realize that you’re lucky and do your absolute best to stay on tour! Go get in the real world for awhile and work them frustrations out and get it together. Alot of dangerous and disproportionately self involved folks are waiting out there!

Wasnt the suspension one of the reasons for breaking away from the PDGA? And didnt the DGPT want the PDGA to take a roll as just disciplinary? But now the DGPT is essentially acting as the PDGA? This is seeming like just a coup

The breakaway, for lack of a better term, from the PDGA was for multiple reasons. The disipline of Bradley Williams was just a small part. Since they have parted ways for now, they must form the own form of disipline which was explained in the post. I’m sure the results will be announced and explained once a decision is made and finalized. That is more than the PDGA was willing to do thus forcing DGPT to create this committee. This is my understanding of the situation and I may be wrong.

I have a question. What is everyone on the panel’s committee responsibilities when it comes to discipline? I notice there’s a player representative and a td representative. Would Nate Doss’ voice on the committee represent that of the entire pro tour players? Or does he act as a direct representative to whomever is facing discipline? Acting as one who would fight their case on their behalf and try to get the lightest sentence possible?

As a woman wanting to grow the sport and having enjoyed the media coverage of the DGPT. I am grateful that DGPT has decided to make their own decision on discipline as my daughter watches and is playing now. We all need to rules and consequences for actions when we do not adhere to them. I do request that as the split has now taken part, that once the consequences are determined are publically posted. I think it’s beginning to effect some club tournaments and they are going to need to be implementing their own rules and what a great example to follow.

I like the idea that you are using a Disc golfer as part of the board. I would believe that it has to be hard on Nate D. to suspend a fellow golfer. Wouldn’t it be better to take say three people at different points levels? All three have a single vote as a group and 2/3 vote to count as one of the three votes on the board? This way the Pros are better protected from any fallout.

Keep up the great work guys
