Most kids have posters on their walls. For my generation, it was the likes of Larry Bird or Kareem Abdul Jabaar or Terry Bradshaw or KISS. My name is Steve. Sometimes people accidentally call me Scott. No worries there. When it comes to botching people’s names, I easily maintain my 1030 rating
The year is 2016. Less than 10% of the PDGA’s membership is women. One possible takeaway is that women do not like to play disc golf and/or join organizations. Another is that disc golf has, for decades, not paid enough to attention women and to growing the women’s side of the sport. Clearly women’s participation outside the PDGA is larger than 10%, but it is still nowhere near 30%. Our sport has a very big opportunity to grow our base of players, and we can do it pretty easily.
Most courses, even the most difficult championship level courses, have a hole or two on which the top players in the world can card a pretty easy deuce. Using the Memorial as an example:
Ken Climo is disc golf royalty. Birdie after birdie after birdie. He has won over 200 titles
