Des Moines Challenge Recap (Last Week):

The 2024 TruBank Des Moines Challenge presented by DGA served as the final stateside event before the tour heads to Europe for the Krokhol Open and the prestigious European Open. Pickard Park’s updated course and unpredictable weather conditions set the stage for an intense competition. Anthony Barela secured his fourth Tour event win of the season, dominating with a 57% birdie rate and nearly completing the tournament bogey-free. Emily Weatherman, from the Chase Card, claimed her first career Tour event win, making history as the youngest FPO player to do so. Adam Hammes delivered a stellar performance with a scorching 14 under par in Round 2. Eliezra Midtlyng secured her first podium finish with a strong scramble percentage. Matt Orum, known as Matty O., maintained a bogey-free streak and achieved back-to-back podiums. As the tour moves to Europe, these performances set a high bar for upcoming events.
