2017 Pro Tour Cards

Pro Tour Cards are our first step towards creating legitimate Tour Cards, similar to the PGA’s and LPGA’s Tour Cards. Players must qualify to be on the PGA Tour, the PGA Tour Card represents that this qualification has been met.

Over the next few years, our goal will be to create an environment where 72 men and 20 or more women (eventually 72) can earn their livings as touring pros. These players will be the best players in our sport. They will have Pro Tour Cards. And they will have earned them.

To earn a spot as a touring pro, MPO players will need to either:

  • Qualify for the Tour Championship – finish in the top 48 in tour points in 2016
  • Be in the top 24 in the Pro Tour Power Rankings as of 11/1/2016.

To earn a spot as a touring pro, FPO players will need to either:

  • Qualify for the Tour Championship – finish in the top 12 in tour points in 2016
  • Be in the top 8 in the Pro Tour Power Rankings as of 11/1/2016.

Players that qualify for 2017 Pro Tour Cards will be able to:

  • Register to be on tour
  • Spots held at each Pro Tour event up to two months before event
  • Have a player profile page on the Pro Tour website
  • Be in at least one off-season interview with the Pro Tour
  • Have a card in the 2017 Pro Tour Trading Card deck

We are very excited for the future of the sport, for having the opportunity to showcase the skills of these players, and for the tremendous support we have received from the discing community.

Do you have a disposable $50 to spend on trading cards? 61 cards for $50
You would be much better off buying Magic the Gathering cards.

Pay $50 for 61 cards…what a ripoff. On top of that, do you actually think any of the money will go to the players? This is another money grab from some really greedy individuals in the disc golf manufacturing community. Jussi and his ilk can go crawl back under a rock. I hope they choke on these cards when nobody buys them for the extremely inflated price.
