OVERVIEW
The 2026 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC) marked the 25th edition of the prestigious PDGA Pro Major and was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from July 16-19. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains at Brighton Ski Resort’s Majestic 18, the event brought together the world’s best women disc golfers to compete for a Major title. Since its inaugural championship in 1999, the USWDGC has traveled to a new host city each year, and in 2026, Sports Salt Lake, the Utah Sports Commission, the ElevateUT Disc Golf community, and Team Thunder Puss welcomed the championship to Utah for a memorable week of competition.

The Course
Brighton Ski Resort - Majestic 18
Perched high in Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon, the Majestic 18 at Brighton Ski Resort was designed with one bold goal: to become the premier mountain disc golf course in the world. Starting atop the Majestic chairlift, players descend through the mid-mountain bowl between the Snake Creek and Crest lifts, finishing beneath the lift with sweeping alpine views. With a mix of wide-open bombers, tight wooded corridors, and demanding technical par 4s, the course offers a complete test of skill. Currently outfitted with red (beginner/intermediate) and white (advanced) tees, Brighton plans to add blue (pro-level) tees by 2026, ensuring the Majestic 18 continues to challenge and inspire players of every level.
