For Immediate Release:
DGPT Introduces New Tour Operations Framework
Expanded staff and clarified divisions improve support across all events
July 14, 2026: The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) has restructured the Tour Operations department, creating three internal divisions: Event Experience, Venue & Logistics, and Competition. These divisions will be supported with more focused resources to serve the growing base of stakeholders attending DGPT events. With over 30% growth in fan turnout over the first half of the touring season, Tour Operations has never been busier.
Leadership Team
Christine Jennings has taken the reins of the department as the Senior Director of Tour Operations & Administration and has helped restructure the Operations Department with the assistance of Jeff Spring, DGPT CEO and Tour Director. Brian Cole, formerly VP of Tour Operations, has moved into a new role as Venue and Event Development Advisor. Brian will continue to help plan and lead DGPT events as well as focus on the development of venues and markets for the next generation of Tour events.
Event Experience Division
The Event Experience division will include the newly promoted Event Experience Senior Manager, Max Cazanov-Diggs. While Max will continue as a member of the Competition & Logistics teams, his main focus will be on hospitality, ticketing, food & beverage, vending, and partnership activations. Tim Linck (Operations Coordinator) will also focus his support on the Event Experience division.
The DGPT is also happy to announce a new role for David Martin, as Event Experience Advisor. David, whose previous work background includes serving as a Hospitality Director at the Tour de France, has worked in a contract role for DGPT events in the past and will join the team as an ongoing advisor throughout the remainder of the 2026 season. Recently, David has operated Nomad Travel and Tours, a bespoke Disc Golf experience company aimed at providing high-quality experiences for fans traveling to DGPT and PDGA Major events.
David will join Jonathan Poole, announced earlier this year, as an advisor to the overall onsite experience for all DGPT event-goers.
Venue & Logistics Division
The DGPT is also pleased to announce the hiring of Tom Odegaard as Venue & Logistics Manager. “Odie,” as he is affectionately known, has served as tournament director of the DGPT Preserve Championship, and the Minnesota-based Airborn Tour, among other disc golf ventures. Aside from his demonstrated record of work in the disc golf industry, Odie’s background includes large-scale construction projects as a general contractor. The blend of logistics management with a rich history of disc golf experience is a perfect fit for managing the DGPT’s expanding needs for the development and management of on-course infrastructure, course preparation, fleet supervision, and the coordination with a robust group of local organizing committees. Odie will also bring experience to the Competition Team, serving as a Competition lead throughout the remainder of the season.
Andrew Jakab will continue in the Venue & Logistics division as the on-site lead for the Tour’s road crew, now adding the role of volunteer coordinator. Operations Coordinator Nick Strabley will also focus on Venue & Logistics.
Competition Division
The DGPT Competition Team has expanded and gained several team members during this restructure. In addition to Tom Odegaard and the existing leadership team of Jeff Spring, Christine Jennings, and Max CazaDiggs, the DGPT has hired Nathan Farber to fulfill the role of Competition Supervisor.
Nathan will help to lead the development of the competition division for the Tour Operations department, frequently preparing courses and executing pre-event competition planning. Nathan’s background and experience include serving as the President of the New Orleans Disc Golf Club and Assistant Tournament Director of the newly debuted Big Easy Open. Nathan’s educational background is in Sports Administration, including work in High School and College Football programs.
Additionally, the DGPT has hired Jesse Tomaino as a Competition Advisor. Jesse, who has been a driving force behind the Beaver State Fling and Northwest Championship, will join the team as a Tournament Official at five events throughout the 2026 season and will play a role in competition planning & development initiatives.
Lastly, Evan Shper has moved from the role of full-time Competition Manager to Competition Advisor. Evan will continue to serve as a Tournament Official at select events.
The Disc Golf Pro Tour Elite Series schedule will continue later this month at the 2026 Discraft Ledgestone Open. Tickets for all upcoming events are on sale at tickets.dgpt.com. See you on the course!
