For Immediate Release:

San Francisco Open to Become OTB Open

Jeffersonville, VT – January 26, 2021: The San Francisco Open will become the OTB Open presented by Innova in a slate of significant changes announced by the tournament. Along with the name change, the tournament will be moving to a new venue in Stockton, California.

The OTB Open presented by Innova is the fourth stop on the Disc Golf Pro Tour schedule and will be held May 14-16. Stockton is located approximately an hour and a half east of San Francisco. The city is known for strongly supporting disc golf, including having one of the most active disc golf clubs in California.

1000 Rated Productions and Team OTBO will be partnering with Visit Stockton and the Delta Windjammers for the event. Leonard Muise of Whirlwind Disc Golf is designing a new course for the tournament at Swensons Park Golf Course. The tournament will also have a corresponding amateur event May 7-9.

Tournament Co-Director Shawn Mercy, had this to say about the changes.

“In a perfect world, we would not be moving this event from a venue and city that has left positive impressions on players and fans alike. Recognizing that real-world challenges sometimes force change, we are adapting and evolving to ensure continuity while scaling our stop on the Disc Golf Pro Tour,” Mercy said.

“Partnering with OTB Discs and Innova presents a huge opportunity to increase our reach and take our event to the next level. The SFO and OTB teams are not strangers; we have been collaborators and friends for years. We have big plans in store and can’t wait to put on one hell of a show!”

Tiered registration for the OTB Open will begin February 1. More information regarding the tournament and registration can be found at
