Introducing the JomezPro Series
A New Event Class on the Disc Golf Pro Tour
August 27, 2025: The 2026 season will pilot a new event classification on Tour: the JomezPro Series.
This new series will see JomezPro provide exclusive post-produced coverage for select tournaments between regular tour stops. The preliminary 2026 schedule features three well-known venues, and a complete JomezPro Series schedule will be announced later this year.
Tickets will be available beginning this off-season, providing an additional set of exciting on-course spectating opportunities for fans. Series events will have PDGA A-Tier sanctioning and operate under the associated competition standards and added cash requirements. JomezPro Series events will not be covered live on the Disc Golf Network.

The primary goals of the JomezPro Series are to provide JomezPro competition coverage of well-known tournaments and new and exciting courses, and to create a needed event tier between Q-Series and regular DGPT events. Jomez will continue to cover the 2026 Elite Series and PDGA Pro Major schedule, adding these events to a now expanded coverage calendar.
The inaugural JomezPro Series event will be the 2026 Waco Annual Charity Open, which has been a staple on Tour since 2017, and is the home of several iconic moments, including playoffs in 2017 & 2018, and a spectacular eighteen-under performance from Paul McBeth in 2019.
“The launch of the JomezPro Series is an exciting next step for the Tour,” said Jeff Spring, DGPT CEO and Tour Director. “The preliminary schedule includes three great events, with an exciting debut at WACO, which makes its 10th appearance as a part of the Disc Golf Pro Tour. Cascade Challenge will return between OTB and Northwest Championship, and the Tour will be back at Champions Landing in Emporia. We’re excited to see the world’s best disc golfers take on these courses and to give fans an additional set of opportunities to watch both online and in person. We expect the Series to expand, with a target of four to six total events next season, and we can’t wait for this new series to launch!”
In addition to adding bonus coverage for fans and providing another opportunity for players to shine in the Jomez spotlight, the new Series will allow the DGPT to continue collaborating with previous Elite Series events and test burgeoning venues as the competition schedule evolves and the Tour explores new host locations.
“In undertaking the DGPT mission of creating and curating a stage for the world’s best players, the Tour’s Elite Series schedule is going to look different year over year,” continued Spring. “To run a single full-scale DGPT event, tournament organizers collaborate with the DGPT in a multi-year effort to attract spectators, partner with event sponsors, ensure live broadcast quality, and meet a vigorous set of Elite Series competition and course requirements. The JomezPro Series allows the Tour to continue collaborating with and supporting events that could benefit from longer-term planning cycles in order to invest in their venues and teams.”
The JomezPro Series will also allow the Tour to provide competition coverage in locations where a full-scale Disc Golf Network broadcast is not practical, but top players still want to compete. Additionally, the Series makes it possible to cover tournament play at legacy courses with long histories, or at developing venues that may seek Elite Series status in the future.
“No matter if you’re watching on DGN or on JomezPro, the Tour’s goal is to provide coverage of the best players in the world competing at the best courses,” said Jonathan Gomez, President of JomezPro. “The JomezPro Series means that we can show off more players at more courses, even if live coverage isn’t doable at that location. We’re excited for the potential to bring back Jomez coverage at some older courses that players and fans both know and love, and for the opportunity to go to new and exciting places under development.
Imagine getting to watch the biggest west coast swing events at the OTB Open and Northwest Championship, but also getting bonus coverage of the Cascade Challenge and competition at DeLaveaga. Imagine adding a series stop at one of the incredible wooded courses on the East Coast early in the season, or covering some mountain golf on the way out west. That’s the kind of vision we have for the JomezPro Series.”
The new JomezPro Series will play a small role in the 2026 DGPT World Standings. A number of bonus points will be awarded to all participating players, but full-scale (Elite Series level) points will not be in play. Complete details on World Standings points and how they are distributed at JomezPro Series events will be announced ahead of the 2026 season.
Coverage of the JomezPro Series (MPO & FPO) will be published next day during primetime hours for free on the JomezPro YouTube channel. The Jomez commentary booth will also feature several new voices and personalities.
