DGPT Aligns COVID-19 Disciplinary Policy with PDGA

August 12, 2020

After discussions with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) has aligned all in-event COVID-19 disciplinary action with the PDGA. Any disciplinary action taken will now affect competitor’s status across both organizations.

Please read the following update to the COVID-19 Disciplinary Policy that has been adjusted in the most recent update to the DGPT COVID-19 Policies & Best Practices document, which is now in Version 1.4, which is in effect as of August 10, 2020.

Discipline

In order to compete in Disc Golf Pro Tour events, all competitors, staff, volunteers, media, and spectators are expected to follow the Policies outlined in the COVID-19 Policies & Best Practices document, which is built upon the Requirements and Best Practices for PDGA-Sanctioned Play During COVID-19. When in violation of these policies at any event site, the DGPT will address them in line with the PDGA Disciplinary System. Violations of the policies will therefore result in PDGA discipline as well as DGPT discipline.
