BURLINGTON, Kentucky – August 14, 2021: 

Following a report of a positive COIVD-19 test from a competitor in the Idlewild Open, the PDGA Elite Series COVID-19 contract tracing program was activated and implemented. After conducting rapid antigen testing on all those who came into contact (6 feet or less of 15 minutes or more) with the competitor who tested positive, the Disc Golf Pro Tour can report that all contacts tested negative for COVID-19.

Due to the incubation period of COVID-19 the DGPT has decided to keep the phase 2 masking policy in place for the remainder of the event. The average incubation period for COVID-19 is 5-7 days. In order to ensure an event that is as safe as possible, and to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we feel that it is best to continue the policy that was put in place for Round 1.
