Update – November 19, 2025: The PDGA has announced that the name of the yearly PDGA Pro Major in Europe will officially be called the European Open. The PDGA previously planned to call the yearly Major the Europa Cup, but the European Open name and brand will remain in place. In 2026, the European Open will take place at the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn, Estonia, and be organized in collaboration with the team behind the European Disc Golf Festival (EDGF), which ran at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds in 2024 as a DGPT Elite Series and in 2025 as a PDGA Pro Major. While the name of next year’s European Major has been changed, the date (June 18 – 21) and location (Tallinn, Estonia) remain the same as announced in August of 2025. The full 2026 schedule announcement below has been updated to reflect the updated name.
DGPT Announces 2026 Elite Series Schedule
August 27, 2025: The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is excited to announce its 2026 Elite Series schedule alongside next year’s PDGA Pro Major schedule. The 2026 season will include eighteen Elite Series tournaments and an additional five PDGA Pro Major events for a total of twenty-three stops between February and October next year. A limited number of discounted early bird VIP passes for U.S. events are on sale starting today at DGPT.com/tickets.

Introducing the JomezPro Series
Announced today alongside the Elite Series schedule, the DGPT is excited to introduce the JomezPro Series, a new event classification on Tour that will bring exclusive, post-produced coverage of the Waco Annual Charity Open, Cascade Challenge, and the Champions Landing Open (Emporia, KS) to the JomezPro YouTube channel next season. The JomezPro Series will provide fans with bonus coverage between Elite Series weekends and is designed to offer top players more opportunities to compete in the Jomez spotlight at legacy courses and new and exciting venues as the DGPT Elite Series schedule evolves over time. The Series will also provide burgeoning events with a pipeline to ascend to full DGPT status, give previous DGPT events an opportunity to stay connected with the Tour as they execute long-term growth planning, and allow for coverage at courses where full-scale live coverage is not practical.

New Early Season Stops In Louisiana & North Carolina
On August 20, the Tour announced that the season will begin again at the Supreme Flight Open (Brooksville, FL) before heading to Jefferson Parish, LA, for a brand new tournament: the Big Easy Open.
Jefferson Parish is a part of the Greater New Orleans Area and will host the first-ever DGPT event in the state of Louisiana, thanks to a collaborative effort between the DGPT, Visit Jefferson Parish, and the New Orleans Disc Golf Club. Competition will be held at Parc des Familles, a course designed and now being updated by the HouckDesign team. After the Big Easy Open, the Tour will return to Charlotte, North Carolina, for three days of competition at Hornets Nest Disc Golf Course, which was home to the DGPT Championship from 2019 to 2021 and has hosted multiple PDGA World Championships. With previous Pro Tour layouts in the par 60-65 range at 9,000+ feet, Hornets Nest has a history of challenging the best, and will also host an off-season DGPT Exhibition event later this year at the DGPT Match Play Championship.
Supported by a thriving membership base and a strong leadership team with six years of experience in hosting DGPT competitions, the Charlotte Disc Golf Club will lead venue preparation efforts, course updates, and volunteer recruitment. The Queen City Classic will also be supported and promoted by Another Round, which is headquartered in Charlotte.
The Mid-South Stretch
The DGPT is pleased to welcome the Jonesboro Open back to the Elite Series schedule for the 2026 season, serving as a connecting stop between the PDGA Champions Cup in Lynchburg, VA, and the Kansas City Open in Kansas City, MO, which returns to the Elite Series for the second year. In Jonesboro, competition will take place at the Disc Side of Heaven, which has produced several close finishes and exciting playoffs.
The Music City Open, which has previously taken place during this stretch of the season, will take some time off from the Elite Series as the local organizing team works to establish a new long-term home for the tournament. Mill Ridge Park, which has been home to a temporary layout used each year for DGPT competition, will soon undergo several major development projects with construction that will directly impact the course area. Due to these impacts and a long-standing desire to find a more permanent home, the MCO team is pursuing an exciting venue development opportunity at nearby Ravenwood Park in direct coordination with the Disc Golf Pro Tour.
Ravenwood Park is closer to downtown Nashville and features both wooded and open areas, with long rolling hills and several water features on site. The park has hosted professional competition before, featuring a temporary course used at Music City Open A-Tier competitions from 2017 to 2019. As development discussions continue in Nashville, the DGPT and Music City Disc Golf Club are excited for the potential of the Music City Open to return to the Elite Series with a new and improved long-term venue featuring a more dynamic course.
DGPT Europe Updates
With the World Championships heading back to the U.S. in 2026, the European portion of the Tour will have a more condensed and cohesive Elite Series schedule. The Tour is also implementing a few changes that simplify the European event designations and enable season-long competition for the European community. 2026 DGPT World Standings
The core structure of the DGPT World Standings will stay the same for 2026, with a standard DGPT event awarding 150 points to the winner. DGPT+ events will be worth 200 points, Playoffs will be worth 250 points, and PDGA Pro Majors will be worth 300.
The new JomezPro Series will play a small role in the 2026 standings. A number of bonus points will be awarded to all participating players, but full-scale (Elite Series level) points will not be in play. Complete details on World Standings points and how they are distributed at JomezPro Series events will be announced ahead of the 2026 season, alongside other details, including the cap on how many Elite Series events are counted towards player point totals.
Finally, the Tour will not award FPO World Standings points at the Heinola Open, but will award MPO World Standings points. This decision, made in consultation with the DGPT Player Council, reflects the tight turnaround between Heinola and the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC).
The Heinola Open ends on July 12th in Finland, just four days before the Major begins in Salt Lake City, UT, on July 16th. With only three days for FPO athletes to travel and prepare, the council determined that no FPO World Standings points should be awarded at Heinola.
All competitors at Heinola (FPO and MPO) will still earn points towards the separate DGPT Europe standings, which is designed for European pros and reflects a full season of European events extending past the time at which most U.S. players will travel back to the States.

Complete coverage of the 2026 season will be available via the Disc Golf Network, JomezPro, and other media partners. Full details on media coverage plans for next year will be announced ahead of the 2026 season.
A limited number of select U.S. event early bird tickets for the 2026 season are available today at DGPT.com/tickets and are being offered at the lowest price all year round. Additional passes will be made available starting this off-season.
