2024 End-of-Season Awards & Qualification Rules Announced

February 6, 2024: The DGPT is pleased to announce an update to its end-of-season awards for the 2024 season. The DGPT will continue distributing awards based on season performance, media voting, tour card player voting, and fan voting. A list of awards, qualification criteria, and methods for determining recipients can be referenced below. For all awards, ties will be broken by DGPT World Standings points.

In addition to continuing with the standard Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, All-Stars, Most Improved Player of the Year, and Comeback Player of the Year awards, the DGPT is also introducing a new DGPT Community Champion Award for the 2024 season.

The Community Champion Award recognizes one FPO and one MPO DGPT player for their commitment to growing the sport and positively impacting their community. DGPT tour card holders will nominate and vote to select one player from each division who has had a significant positive impact on their community via philanthropic work, volunteering, teaching, or similar activities.

Additionally, the DGPT is releasing a new set of criteria for determining which competitors are considered rookies.

A player’s rookie season (“Rookie Year”) is defined as the season in which they meet any one of the following criteria:
